My name is Cathy Perkins and I create my contemporary pour painting artwork in the place I’ve always called home, Sydney, Australia. My artwork is created by using a variety of fluid painting techniques, pouring paint onto a surface and using gravity to allow the paint to flow across the surface, creating unique, marble-like effects. 

I discovered my love of this stunning, eccentric art form in 2020 during the COVID lockdown. In a time where most of the world was living in fear and solitude, I found art to be a relaxing and beautiful way to spend my time.

I have painted on a variety of surfaces including canvases, homewares, and rocks. I have even created remarkable pieces of jewellery. The part I love most about the jewellery is that it is made from over poured paint that would otherwise be wasted. Instead it is turned into amazing, one of a kind pieces of accessories to pair with any outfit. 

What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. I turned into a small business with friends and acquaintances from all around the world buying my artwork. I hope to inspire creativity and foster hope around the globe. When people see my artwork, I want them to see a world of possibilities; when life seems uncertain, just go with the flow and beautiful things will come out of it.
